May 2-27, 2018
Thursday, May 3 from 5-8pm
With Shadow Guides, printmaker and painter Maria Tratt continues to explore the theme of personal memory through the creation of imaged contexts of origin. Building on the tradition of daemons, guardian spirits that manifest as external physical aspects of a person’s character, these new works combine etching, aquatint, collagraph and monotype techniques to develop a formal layering that hints at the possibility of multiple and simultaneous existences.

Mid-century Landscapes: a Betty Jean Drummond Retrospective
January 10 to February 4, 2018
Betty Jean Drummond (1920-2004) was an honours graduate of the Ontario College of Art and worked as a commercial artist before discovering a passion for printmaking in 1967. This retrospective of selected etchings and collagraphs highlights Drummond’s explorative approach to printmaking, starting with a memory and working directly on the plate. Her richly textured landscapes evoke the mid-century aesthetic, currently so popular. These timeless recollections of Pacific Northwest mountains and ocean can be seen at Dundarave Print Workshop and Gallery from January 10 to February 4, 2018.
November 15, 2017 – January 7, 2018
Every year at this time our Dundarave artists create small format framed prints perfect for our Annual Winter Exhibition Show & Sale. They are hung throughout the gallery with new work being added as pieces sell off the wall. Unframed works are available as well and we can ship anywhere. Gift certificates are also available for artwork and printmaking classes.
