LEE JAMES ABBOTT

Vancouver-based multi-disciplined artist Lee James Abbott is best known for his graphic art and printmaking. Lee was introduced to the medium of serigraphy as a teenager and later studied the print technique in London, UK.

His work explores the role of relationships in our lives—the ones with our friends and family are important, but often undervalued are the ones with ourselves. Through his abstract paintings and printmaking, Lee explores our complicated inner monologue.

Last year, Lee completed his first artist residency in Courtenay, BC with funding from Canada Council, learning to print on challenging surfaces including glass, wood, and foil.
