CALL FOR SUBMISSION

Shifting Ground
Deadline for online application: 11:59pm March 31, 2025
Change is constant. Landscapes erode, identities evolve, histories are rewritten, and what once felt solid may suddenly shift beneath our feet. Dundarave Print Workshop invites printmakers from across Canada to explore themes of transformation, instability, and adaptation—whether personal, political, environmental, or abstract.
As printmaking itself is a process of layering, erasure, and impression, this exhibition seeks works that reflect the fluidity of our times. How do we navigate uncertainty? What emerges in moments of transition? Through relief, intaglio, screenprint, lithography, and experimental techniques, we welcome interpretations that challenge, document, or embrace change. We encourage submissions from artists of all backgrounds and experience levels. Let your work become part of the conversation as we examine the shifting ground beneath us.

Artists are encouraged to submit up to 3 pieces relating to the exhibition theme. Works can be old or new but must incorporate printmaking mediums. All forms of printmaking are welcome including lithography, intaglio, relief, screenprint, monotype, and other expanded and mixed media practices in printmaking. We ask that work is sized less than 24” in width or height on its longest side. Submission is free and will be juried by the Dundarave Print Workshop curatorial team.

The selected artworks will be featured and on display at the Dundarave Print Workshop gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver, BC, from April 15, 2025 to May 11, 2025. The opening party will be held on April 16, 6–9 pm. Mark your calendars!
