Drypoint introduction
Service Description
This workshop aims to provide an introduction to printmaking and the tools needed for creating Drypoint prints. This technique involves tracing and scratching an image onto a plastic plate, which will be inked and printed using an etching press. Multiple prints can be made, which can also be hand coloured later. At the end of the workshop, participants will obtain their own drypoint plate and a series of three prints. Erin is a printmaker and illustrator specializing in etching, drypoint, and linocut, working out of Dundarave Print Workshop on Granville Island, Vancouver, Canada. Their illustrations have been published in numerous North American magazines, as well as a children’s book. Materials included. Plastic plate, etching tool, ink, paper, tarlatan, gloves. Students will bring a drawing or photo to work from.
Cancellation Policy
PAYMENT OPTIONS VISA, Master Card, or Debit. WITHDRAWALS With more than two weeks notice, DPW will refund fees minus a $30 administrative fee. With less than two weeks notice, DPW will refund fees minus a $50 administrative fee. CANCELLATIONS Courses may occasionally be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Should DPW cancel a course, we will issue a full refund or credit.
